Bookkeeper/Billing Manager

Autumn Beck Blackledge, PLLC, a legal practice focusing on marital and family law, is seeking a qualified and experienced part time Bookkeeper/Billing Manager.  Our firm endeavors to provide exceptional client service and legal acumen to people facing a variety of family law issues. Our firm consists of three attorneys and four staff.

We are looking for a unique individual who can help our firm develop new systems for accounting and billing and who is committed to the mission of our firm.  We require that our new hire to be someone who is committed to our mission and core values. The successful applicant will be expected to have accounting and bookkeeping experience and be able to manage multiple accounts as well as client billing files.   Only qualified applicants will be contacted.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience in law office or other professional service billing and collection
  • Ability to learn legal practice/accounting management system used by firm

Job Description:

  • Managing all aspects of the practice’s financial process including: general ledger, journal entries, payroll, issue financial statement, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Producing financial statements and tracking key metrics, forecast depreciation and profit & loss
  • Checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy and proper codes
  • Classifying, recording and summarizing numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers
  • Operating computers programmed with accounting software to record, store and analyze information

Receptionist/Office Assistant

Job Description:

  • Serve as the first impression on the telephone for incoming calls and any visitors to the office
  • Ensure that the client experience is excellent from initial call to conclusion of the firm relationship by keeping all public spaces neat and well organized
  • Assist all office staff in maintaining client files and assisting in all aspects of office organization
  • Use of computers and various software such as Abacus, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat
